Instander is my personal favorite modern Instagram, which provides as many customizable options as you can imagine. It has made traditional Instagram much more different and interesting with the innovative addition of tricky features and settings.
You can download and install Instander Apk easily. But once you have installed it, it can be difficult to find options for enabling cool features. So, here I have explained Instander features and all settings step by step to make it easy for you. Follow this guide to make your Instander as innovative as per your requirements.
Instander features and all Settings
Instander offers lots of options to customize the functions and features of Instagram. Some options are present under the option of “Instander Settings” and some are available in “Developer Mode”. let’s explore “Instander features and all Settings options one by one.
How to open Instander Settings?
To open all Instander setting options follow the following steps:
Open Instander and tap your profile picture at the right bottom corner
Now you will see three lines (hamburger menu) at the top right corner, open it
A new window will open with various options, Open the first one named as “Instander Settings”
Here you can see all settings options are available
1. Downloads
First of all, there is an option for download settings. When you open it, three will be three options if you are using Instander old version. i.e. Notification, Split media by username and path to download.
Notifications
You can enable or disable notifications from the “Notification” option. With this option, you can opt to receive or block all notifications from Instagram.
Split media by username
You can enable this option to make separate folders of the downloaded media on your Android device. If you want to keep all downloaded files in one folder then keep it disabled.
Path to download
Under this option, you can choose a folder where to store your downloaded files and media.
But if you are using Instander 18.0 Beta version, you will see more options here as follows:
Orignal extension
Turn this option on. It will convert your downloaded files to a recommended predefault format. i.e. mp4 for videos and JPEG for images.
Download only via Wi-Fi
If you turn this option on, you can only download any file when you are connected to Wi-Fi. Its good to save your mobile data, if you are using a limited mobile internet bundle.
Download button
If you need a download butten along with any downloadable media on Instagram, turn this option on here.
2. Privacy
Here come Instander privacy features and options to customize it. Open this option and you will see three options:
Disable Ads
When you use Instagram, ads come intermittently that are definitely disliked by most of us. But here you can turn off display ads with this option. Just enable the option.
In Instander 18.0 Beta you have more customization for display ads under “Fix Ads Removal” option.
Disable analytics
“Analytics” is an option that provides graphical data about your Instagram usage. You can get an idea about what are you watching often or what kind of stuff you are following or being followed etc. Here, you can turn this option on or off according to your preferences.
Crash reports
Under this option, you can enable or disable crash reports sent to the developer. It will also notify you whenever you get a report issue or anything else that can cause your Instander to crash.
3. Ghost Mode
This is one of the most important features of the Instander. You can enable next-level privacy under this section. Instander Ghost Mode comes with four sub-options/features:
Don’t mark direct as read / Unread preservation
This option is for message privacy. If you enable this option the person on the other end will not know that either you have read his/her message or not. This feature is the same as in GB Whatsapp.
You can say that by enabling this feature you can disable read receipt in Chat.
Disable typing status / Silent typing
This option will hide your typing status in chats or replying to someone’s status or reel. By enabling it the other person will not know whether you are typing or not.
Don’t mark stories as seen / View stories anonymously
You will watch any story but other person will not be notified about your activity. This is the same as you can watch someone’s status secretly on GB WhatsApp.
View live streams anonymously
You can watch live streams without being noticed. All you need to do is just enabling this option.
4. Quality improvements
Instander allows high-quality media to upload, download and also for display. You can choose the resolution power of media under this option in Instander settings. There is a slight difference in options of new and latest versions as shown in image.
Open “Quality improvements” and you will see options as:
Improve stories quality
Enable this option to improve the quality of stories.
Improve reels quality
Enable this option for better reels’ resolution.
Improve IGTV quality
Enabling this option will enhance the display quality of the IGTV.
Improve photo quality
You can enjoy HD-quality photos by enabling this option.
Photos in max quality
By default, Instagram compresses photos according to the screen width. But if you enable this option here in Instander, photos will be presented in maximum inherent width. I recommend keeping it disabled to keep images aligned.
5. Gestures
There are some functions in Instagram that works with gestures like double tapping will mark like for any photo. Under this option in Instander Settings you can enable or disable gestures functions. There come three options in this setting:
Swipe to navigate
You can swipe left or right for the next post or photo or page. If you disable this option here, your swipe function will be disabled and vice versa.
Like photo by double tap
It’s your will to like photos by double tapping or not. Just enable or disable this option respectively according to your choice.
Video scrubber
You can enable this option to play with videos. Just as in YouTube, you can forward or backward a video simply by tapping repeatedly.
Long tap
In latest version the option “Long tap” is added. If you enable this, you can see any small image in large size including profile pictures.
6. Feeds & stories
There are ten features of Instander that you can manage under this option in “Instander Settings”.
These options are as follows:
Apply Monet theme
If you want to change the theme of your Instagram, you can enable this option in Instander. Monet Theme will turn your Instagram base color into a blend of pale to orange colors.
To apply this theme, just enable the option and restart your app.
Auto-play videos
You can control the auto-playing of videos here. Just disable to stop the auto-playing of reels and other videos.
Suggested friends
Based on your interests, location, business and other parameters, Instagram will suggest you friends just like on Facebook. If you don’t want such suggestions, turn it off here.
Disable story flipping
Normally you cannot stop stories until press and hold them with your thumb. But with the help of this option in Instander, you can stop stories from being flipped and only the next story will come if you tap next.
60 seconds story
You can post a 60-second story with the help of Instander. Just enable this option here and you will be able to upload an extended Instagram story.
In-app browser
Instander allows you to search like a search engine also. You can turn on the “in-app browser” to use the facility of search and browsing.
Indicator “Follows You”
Enable this option if you want to see who is following you. You will see a tag of “follows you” along with the display name of your followers. When you enable this feature, your Instander will automatically restart.
Additional menu for comments
You can enable this option to expand commenting options. A menu button with comments will appear that will allow you to copy any comment. It will also enable some other features for comments. Explore it by enabling the “Additional menu for comments”.
Comment settings
Comment settings are added here in the latest version. You can enable it directly here if you want to copy or translate any comment.
Dynamic color
This is another option that is added in the latest version. You can change the color of your Instander theme via this option.
7. Verification
Just like Facebook and Instagram verification, you can also verify your Account on Instander. Open this “Verification” option and you will see the whole procedure to get the verification batch.
You just have to pay a minimum of 03 USD to be verified. But, remember this verification batch will not be visible on the original Instagram profile.
8. OTA updates / In-app updates
Open “OTA updates” to install any latest updates. Just click “Check updates” and the app will be refreshed with any latest updates. In the latest version, this setting is named as “In-app updates”.
8. Developer mode
“Developer mode” contains lots of developer options that can modify the app and its normal features. One should choose developer options carefully because it can interfere with the normal app working.
Open “developer mode”
Enable it and tap “Get MobileConfig”
Tap on “Update” This will enable all developer options
Restart Instander
Tap the home icon at the bottom left corner for 2-3 seconds to see all developer options
Under developer mode, there are lots of options and settings that can modify Instander features. So I have described important developer options separately here in this article: Instander Developer Options
Some features may not work in the latest Beta version
The Instander beta version has many more added features than the previous ones. It is the test version before launching the final latest version after V. 17.2. So, in version 18.0 Beta some features are unavailable.
These and some extra features will be enabled in the final latest version of Instander which is going to be released soon this year.
If you find any feature not working or you are unable to turn it on, you can send a report message to the developer via the option “Instander Issues”
Instander story download
In Instander story download feature is in-built. Just enable the download button from the settings under the option of “Downloads”. Restart your Instander and you will find a download button with each post, reel, or story.
